About Us
Welcome to RedStar Miniature Pinschers. Here, you can read a little about myself, my dogs, and my passion with Miniature Pinschers, as well as the show ring.
I started out 11 years ago strictly with Minpins that were pets. They had no history of champions, or to say the least, quality either. After 5 years with them, I decided that I wanted to make a change in my dogs, and also improve in the breed.
Believe it or not, the story becomes complicated, but true. I did some research on how to show a dog, enter a dog, and even went to dog show training classes. After about 6 months of doing so, I stepped foot into my first dog show, Nov 2004. Known as the Turkey Circuit. I had little guidance, and not the proper training on how to show a small dog. I did lots of research, watching, listening, and eventually, had a wonderful handler to teach me the ins, and the outs of professional handling. To which now, I have turned into my own style.
Since this day, I have forever been hooked into showing Miniature Pinschers and other small breeds of dogs. I have a mentor that has been a god-sent, and without her guidance and direction, I would never be who I am today.
As of date, I have finished 10 dogs, including 6 Miniature Pinschers, 3 Toy Fox Terriers, and 1 French Bulldog. Yes, 10 dogs in less than five years. All handled by myself. Ending in 2008, I had 4 champions in that one year. 3 Miniature Pinschers, and 1 French Bulldog. I also have several pointed, and close to championship for 2009.
I am also a member of the Miniature Pincher Club of America, and a board member of our local club, Miniature Pinscher Club of Northern Calfornia. I also do a small amount of handling for others, as well as one on one training, on " How to Show a Dog. "
We do limited breeding for ourselves, the breed, and for our next future " RedStar Show Dogs. " We do have pets occasionally, and also show dogs. Only to approved, good homes. My boys are available at stud to approved bitches, all in which are strict contracts for the welfare of the breed and the offspring.
Here at RedStar, I would have never gotten my start if it wasnt for some wonderful mentors, and friends. I do want to thank several, including, Carol Dry- RisingStar, Judith White- Whitehouse, Katie Winters- Winters, Armando Angebello-Marlex, and also Luis and Linda Colarte- Lulin, for all of your support and trust in me! I would never be who I am today, if it wasnt for all of your support! " Thank you again!"
If you have a question, or an inquiry, please email me. I love to chat " dogs" and meet new people as well. Again, Thank you kindly for stepping into our life here at RedStar..........
